Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, work email, password (stored only as a secure hash), and the company you belong to.
• Company information: USDOT and MC numbers, address, and carrier details, including public data we look up from the FMCSA Company Census to help you set up your account.
• Business records you enter: drivers, equipment, loads, customers, invoices, expenses, settlements, safety and compliance records, and uploaded documents. These may include personal information about drivers, such as license, medical certificate, and employment details.
• Integration data: if your company connects a service such as Samsara, we receive the vehicle and location data that service provides. Integration credentials are stored encrypted.
• Usage and security data: sign-in events, IP address, browser information, and an audit log of changes made in your workspace.
• Demo requests and job applications: information submitted through our website forms or a carrier's driver application link.

How we use information

• To provide, secure, and support TruckWisely, including sign-in, notifications, and the features your company uses.
• To send service emails such as verification codes, invitations, password resets, and expiration reminders.
• To run AI-assisted features you choose to use, such as reading a rate confirmation or a document to suggest form values. AI suggestions are always shown to you for review; they are not saved automatically.
• To detect abuse, enforce rate limits, keep audit trails, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer records to advertise to drivers or anyone else.

Service providers we use

We share information only with providers that help us run TruckWisely, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Cloudflare hosts the application, database, and stored files.
• Resend delivers our emails.
• Stripe processes subscription payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by us.
• OpenAI processes documents and text you submit to AI-assisted features.
• Integrations your company connects, such as Samsara, exchange data with us at your company's direction.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

How data is separated and protected

Each company's records are isolated from every other company, and access inside a company is limited by user roles. Connections are encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and integration credentials are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We keep customer records for as long as the customer's account is active, because carriers often must keep driver, safety, and financial records for set periods. Archived records are hidden but kept. Audit logs are kept to protect the integrity of records. When a customer closes their account, we will provide an export on request and then delete their data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it by law. Deleted data may remain in backups until those backups expire.

Your choices and rights

You can update your account details in the app. If you are a driver or employee of a carrier using TruckWisely, the carrier controls your records; please contact them first, and we will help them respond. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, email support@truckwisely.com.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

TruckWisely is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes and contact
